4th of July at the National Mall! 2007

We were in DC for the 4th of July this year! Unfortunately, Connor had a pretty bad case of stomach flu, so we didn't go down to the mall to watch, but he was feeling good enough that night to walk about 2 blocks away to sit on a large grassy hill near the overpass with a bunch of other families. It turned out to be the best seat in the area as we could see it all perfectly and we didin't have to worry about being swalled by the masses or the long wait to be squeezed into a metro for the ride home! What an awing experience to watch them live in the capital. It sent chills up our spine!
